Liz is passionate about playing outside. She spends her free time swimming, ice and rock climbing, gardening, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and soaking in the sights and sounds of nature. Liz has co-guided several trips in Wabakimi. She has extensive history working in the backcountry supporting tree planting camps in roles including crew lead, wilderness first aider, and camp supervisor. She lives in Thunder Bay and can’t wait to get into the backcountry this summer!

Maya is a seasoned canoe guide with over a decade of experience leading wilderness trips across Ontario. She holds a degree in Outdoor Recreation from Lakehead University. Passionate about camp cooking, birding, and plant life, Maya brings curiosity, warmth, and a grounded presence to each trip. She creates a welcoming space for women to reconnect with themselves and the land—and looks forward to paddling with you!
