We are pleased to offer 2 exciting new guided trips in 2026!
Trip #1 – Fairly Easy – 5 Nights 6 Days
Monday, July 6 – Arrive in Armstrong and spend a night at the wonderful Wabakimi Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner. On Tuesday, July 7 – Get up early for a hearty breakfast, then fly into Shawanabis Lake (where Bruce lived for 2 years solo). Paddle and portage around small rapids and waterfalls with excellent fishing for walleye and pike. Spend an extra night at one particularly nice spot. Learn from Joe as he shares his skills and experience! On Sunday, July 12 – Our van will pick you up at the end of a bush road. Return to the Lodge for a cold beverage and hot shower. Head home or stay for an optional night.
Trip #2 – Challenging – 8 Nights 9 Days
Tuesday, July 14 – Arrive in Armstrong and spend a night at the wonderful Wabakimi Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner. On Wednesday, July 15 – Get up early for a hearty breakfast, then fly 56 miles to Burntrock Lake. Paddle and portage a number of lakes and 4 different rivers. Camp beside numerous small rapids and falls with great fishing for walleyes (the world’s most delicious fish) and big pike. More likely to see a moose or caribou than another paddler. Get to know Joe and learn from his skills and experience! Paddle to the rail line on Thursday, July 23 and take the train-out. Arrive back at the Lodge for a cold beverage and hot shower or sauna. Head home or stay for an optional night
